I’ve loved Leo for as long as I can remember. Even when he didn’t know I existed. Even through the years he spent fighting overseas, and when he returned home, beautiful and broken.
Now, my brother has gotten it into his head that I can’t take care of myself, and he’s sent his ex-military buddy, Leo, to protect me from a deranged a**hole.
Except I’m not the one who needs saving.
Forced into hiding together, I soon realize Leo is no knight in shining armor. Far from it.
And though I shouldn’t be, I’m drawn to his darkness. Like stardust to a black hole, I can’t stop myself. It doesn’t matter that his wounds extend far beneath the surface of his skin, or that he’s going to break my heart. I’m not strong enough to resist him.
But am I strong enough to save us both?
