Emerson Davis is shy. Some would call him reserved but the truth is that he’s just always been more comfortable with animals than people.
He’s a veterinarian, running his own clinic, but when the local animal shelter needs help for one night, he volunteers. That’s when he meets her.

Remy has dedicated her life to helping others. She works at the local Women’s Shelter and volunteers at the food bank and animal shelter, too.
She’s generous to a fault but one look at the gentle vet and she wants to keep him all to herself.
