A Thousand Words by Rebecca Norinne

When you’re a broke college student and a photographer offers you a couple hundred dollars to participate in a romantic photoshoot, you quickly agree. I’m no actor, but how hard could it be to pretend I’m attracted to a pretty girl for an hour or two if it means I can finally fix my stupid car?

Only, it turns out there’s nothing fake about the way I responded to Emmy Williams. She lights me up like no woman ever has before.

So when our photographer instructs us to pretend to kiss, I can’t stop myself from pulling Emmy into my arms and doing it for real.

And when she kisses me back, I knew she feels it, too.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the only one I want to hear when I asked Emmy to be my girl for real is yes.
